Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that "Skavica HPP will be built 100% by the state".
"Very soon we will come to another thoughtful and delayed process with more decades than this period of 30 years: the design and construction of the Skavica HPP", said Rama.
The Prime Minister stressed that "this has been a historical objective of all Albanian governments, even those before the '90s. An object strategically, absolutely necessary, difficult and complicated. "So the governments had a plan, but they never pushed the process to the end."
"We have tried to find the right actors that could be invested in this project, but we have already decided to build it with our own forces and we will build Skavica 100% by the state. "It will be a difficult work, but it will definitely be a work that will radically transform the system, guaranteeing the optimization of the whole cascade", he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that "this is the missing element of the original project of the Drini cascade and will be the end of the overflow when there is more and the floods that follow as a result of the overflow" / ATA
