Energy Management Systems / USAID supports the establishment of a network of qualified engineers


Installation and maintenance of electricity meters, aims to prevent electricity theft and increase the efficiency of management of this sector.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is working to establish a network of qualified engineers in Albania to use Energy Management Systems (EMS) in industry and public or private commercial buildings, in order to improve energy metering and increase of energy efficiency and optimization of production processes.

USAD announced that this program is being extended to other countries in the Western Balkans, including countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and Serbia.

To increase the necessary skills and create a qualified staff for this process, USAID will organize various trainings and work practices, which serve the expansion of the market of Energy Management Systems (EMS), for the design and installation of equipment of energy measurement and process control, according to the best standards.
