Trade with European Union countries accounted for 60.3%, of all trade, in August 2020.
According to data published by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), in August this year, exports to EU countries accounted for 72.9% of total exports and imports from EU countries accounted for 55.2% of total imports.
Referring to the data, the main trading partners are Italy with which we perform 29.1% of trade volume, followed by Turkey with 8.0%, Germany with 7.1% and China with 7.1%.
According to INSTAT, trade exchanges, for the first eight months of 2020, with EU countries account for 63.0 % of all trade.
In the period January-August 2020, exports to EU countries accounted for 75.2 % of total exports and imports from EU countries accounted for 57.5 % of total imports. The main trading partners for the 8-month period are: Italy with which 31.1% of trade volume are performed, Greece with 7.7%, Germany with 7.2%) and Turkey with 6.9%.
