In the draft budget 2021, the Government has increased financial support for a number of social and health programs addressed to various categories from retirees, the needy and the unemployed.
The Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj, stated today that, “The Social Insurance Scheme for 2021 is foreseen in the amount of ALL 144.6 billion or 8.6% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). From this fund, for the indexation of pensions, the level of 2.4 billion ALL is foreseen ”.
During the presentation of the draft budget in the Assembly, the Minister stressed that, "Health Care Insurance Scheme for 2021 are projected at 46.3 billion or 2.8% of GDP from 43.8 billion expected to be realized in 2020."
According to her, other social expenditures that include: Expenditures for the payment of unemployment are projected at the level of ALL 800 million. Expenditures for the payment of economic assistance and disability are projected at the level of ALL 22.2 billion or 1.3% of GDP. A fund of ALL 1 billion or 0.1% of GDP is foreseen for the former persecuted. A fund of ALL 2.2 billion or 0.1% of GDP is foreseen for the birth bonus.
"While the Fund for Compensation in Value of Owners: are provided in total in the amount of 3 billion or 0.2% of GDP" - said Denaj.
