Italian-Albanian debt conversion program for development / 31 municipalities receive financing of 10 million euros


31 municipalities will benefit from a financing of 10 million euros within the Italian-Albanian debt conversion program for development of the Italian government.

The Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj and the Ambassador of Italy to our country, Fabrizio Bucci, announced today the winners of the fourth call for financing projects from the Italian-Albanian program of debt conversion for development (IADSA).

"As a result of the earthquake of November 2019, we have paid special attention to some of the most affected municipalities, such as Kurbin, Kavaja, Rrogozhina and Mirdita, but also the support of any other municipality in improving the lives of citizens in every municipality of Albania. ", Said Minister Denaj.

According to her, there are 31 winning projects in 31 municipalities of the country that will receive a support of 10 million euros for development with high standards in infrastructure and beyond.

"This is a concrete example of the good will of the two governments for real changes in the lives of citizens and in the regions," she added.

According to Denaj, in order to include as many municipalities as possible, 9 other projects have been selected for which funding will be provided.

Ambassador Bucci praised the program. According to him, so far a large number of projects have been implemented within the IADSA program.

"There are about 56 projects that have been implemented in Albania since the beginning of this program. The projects are quality. The program will last until 2024 ", said the Italian ambassador.
