This morning was marked the 27th victim of COVID-19 in Kosovo. The patient who died is a 63-year-old woman from Dragash / Dragaashi, who in addition to coronavirus infection also had chronic kidney disease and other concomitant diseases.
Infectionist doctor Valbon Krasniqi told KosovaPress that 12 patients are currently being treated in this clinic, while today during the day four patients cured of the coronavirus were discharged.
"The health condition of nine of them is very good, while two people are in oxygen therapy. "While in the intensive care unit we continue to have a very serious condition of a 73-year-old man, who, in addition to being supervised by an infectologist in cooperation with the anesthesiologist, is being monitored 24 hours in intensive care and his condition is critically evaluated", said Krasniqi.
He also spoke about the death of the 27th victim of COVID-19 in Kosovo, which is a patient from Dragash.
"Today in the morning, a 63-year-old woman from Dragash / Dragaash municipality, who was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic 12-13 days ago, did not manage to survive the infection. It is true that in addition to the infection, she also had kidney insufficiency, and as a result she was on regular chronic dialysis, a disease of diabetes ", adds Krasniqi.
The doctor said that last night in the Infectious Diseases Clinic were accepted two cases, where a 2-year-old child together with her mother showed more pronounced symptoms of the virus, but are now in a stable condition.
He said that despite the small number of cases that have been reported in recent days, citizens should continue to maintain personal hygiene, and be careful with physical distance.
In Kosovo, 860 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, 533 have been cured, while 27 have died./KosovaPress//ATA
