Tomori Mountain, with an altitude of 2416 meters above sea level is a tourist destination for lovers of adventure, observation and definitely also for believers who perform pilgrimage.
Tomori Mountain lies northeast of the town of Çorovoda, at a distance of about 20-25 km and enjoys the status of National Park.
Tomori Mountain, covers an area of 4,000 ha, is bordered on the east by the northern border of Tomori and on the west by the Berat-Skrapar highway.
Prime Minister Rama, within the section "Beautiful Albania" has published picturesque photos from Mount Tomor, as an invitation to foreign tourists and local visitors.
All four seasons are very beautiful in this park, but especially snowy winters. The western side of the mountain is the most wooded part. Its typical are beech forests, which are found mainly at altitudes of 1000-1200 m above sea level and robin forests at altitudes above 1600 m. The park is characterized by a high diversity of wildlife, where in some parts of the forest brown bear is often found, in the vicinity of the villages meet wolf, fox, marten and baldosa, while in the outskirts of the forest and near agricultural lands wild boar, rabbit wild etc.
To reach Mount Tomor, 2 roads are used: the short road Pronovik - Tomor Mountain with a length of 10 km and the other axis Çorovodë-Gjerbës-Tomor Mountain with a length of 25 km. At an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, are the Tomb of Abaz Ali, which is considered a sacred and worshiped place. Every August from the 20th to the 25th, in this place is organized a ritual and a magnificent celebration by the believers of the Bektashi sect which is the most important holiday of the year. Also, during these holidays, he is visited by many people of different faiths.
Also, nature lovers organize hiking, skiing, and many other sports during the year on Mount Tomori.
