Italy will start another phase of easing restrictive measures, with the easing of some restrictions in force against the coronavirus epidemic on the peninsula, official sources announced today.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed a decree in this context, which will enter into force on Monday.

According to this text on the third phase of facilitation of measures, "sports of contacts" between amateurs, will be allowed starting from June 25. This includes team sports and parts of football or basketball between friends.

The cinemas will reopen on June 15. Outdoor or indoor discos will be open starting July 14th.

The decree confirms, among other things, the mandatory quarantine for all visitors entering Italy and coming from another country, except the Schengen area.

This decree specifies the ways for visits to museums or cinemas, as the latter can not accommodate more than 200 people in a hall, regardless of size.

For the rest, the rules of social distancing in closed places and the prohibition of large gatherings remain.

Italy has been one of the countries hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic with more than 34,000 dead./ATA
