The European Union and Britain must reach an agreement after Brexit in November, France's European affairs minister said on Sunday, and warned that the bloc would not accept a bad deal just for the sake of a compromise.
"There has to be an agreement in the coming weeks. That means around the beginning of November, "Clement Beaune told FranceInfo radio.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday that he would consider any way needed to find a trade deal with the European Union.
Johnson has decided that the summit with the EU will be held on October 15 to agree on an agreement, and the EU is seeking some further concessions before entering the final stage of negotiations.
