Challenges of economic development, business climate and foreign investments were some of the main topics discussed today at the Tirana Economic Forum, with the participation of decision-makers and local and foreign business actors.
In his greeting speech, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that this forum takes place at a very special moment for Albania. He underlined that Tirana has potentials for a sustainable business development and that business has the full support of the Albanian government to improve the business climate.
Veliaj mentioned the fact that a free economic zone will be created in Kashar, where the space of 80 hectares will be available to strategic investors, to give another impetus to the economic development of the entire city.
While Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed that there will be a clear division in treatment between irregular businesses and regular ventures and any assets placed in an irregular way will be confiscated.
The Minister of Finance, Anila Denaj made an overview of the expectations of the economy during 2020, where she spoke about the effects that the reconstruction process will have.

Strengthening regional cooperation, youth and curbing the flow, justice reform in the field of property were some of the key discussions of the meeting, where the presence of diplomatic ambassadors attached to our country was also present.
