Fiscalization / Ibrahimaj: Taxpayer data will be protected

From January 1, all businesses that have relations with the state will issue only electronic invoices as valid tax documentation, according to the new law on fiscalization. This is the first step in putting the new fiscalization system into operation, which will radically change the way businesses do billing today.

The General Director of Taxes, Delina Ibrahimaj assures that the data of the taxpayers will be protected and that the software producers will not have access to the data of the Tax Administration.

"There is no danger. Regarding the use of the terms and conditions of the Central Invoice Platform, the technical certifications of the system are based on the principle of confidentiality, which will be maintained in any case, as before, as the manufacturers of Software have access to AT data, only if the taxpayer gives them this opportunity ", stated Ibrahimaj during a media interview.

Through Fiscalization, said Ibrahimaj, the Tax Administration will have the opportunity to control in real time all invoices issued both in cash and without cash, to avoid tax evasion.

Ibrahimaj said that the fiscalization reform will enable a 15% increase in tax revenues.
