The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs about the epidemiological situation in the country in the last 24 hours.
Three citizens could not win the battle with the disease, a 77-year-old and an 83-year-old from Tirana with concomitant diseases and a 68-year-old from Has without other diseases.
There continues to be an increase in hospitalizations, despite the cures that have left the two COVID hospitals in the last 24 hours.
Currently, 126 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, 22 are in intensive care and 12 patients are intubated.
During the last 24 hours, 477 tests were performed on suspects affected by COVID19, of which 108 positive cases were confirmed.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 49 cases in Tirana, 11 cases in Durres, Kavaja, 9 in Fier, 7 in Shkodra, 3 cases in Kruja, Kurbin, Tropoja, Berat, Mallakastra, 2 in Peqin, 1 case in Korça, Vlora, Tepelena, Shijak.
In the last 24 hours, 60 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of recovered to 2523 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reminds all citizens of the necessity to implement the rules: For the placement of the mask, maintaining distance and personal and collective hygiene. Avoid any kind of accumulation, as they are a risk for the spread of infection.
