EU assistance 4 million euros to Albania, Manastirliu: Rapid response to increase our capacity in the fight against COVID-19


The European Union through the United Nations office in Albania has allocated 4 million euros in the field of health in the fight against COVID-19.
"This assistance to Albania is a quick reaction to fight a common enemy like Covid-19," said the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu during the online communication with the EU Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Luigi Soreca and the UN Coordinator in Albania, Mr. Brian Williams.

"Through this support, we will be able to mobilize more resources in the fight against COVID-19, in support of the health system not only for today, but also for tomorrow. This immediate assistance by supporting the supply of medical equipment, such as medical ventilators, ICU equipment, laboratories, automatic ambulances and protective equipment available to healthcare staff, will increase our capacity to improve the diagnosis and treatment of COVID -19 ", said Manastirliu.
