Approximation with the supervisory practices of the European Union countries was in the focus of the online meeting held between the General Executive Director of AFSA, Mr. Ervin Mete and the President of the Croatian Financial Services Supervision Agency (HANFA), Mr. Ante Zigman.
The main lines of cooperation were defined at the meeting, where the Croatian experience would serve the Authority. In this regard, HANFA is expected to assist the FSA in the framework of insurance group supervision and consolidated market surveillance, preparation for the Solvency II regime, digitalization and improvement of reporting and analysis systems, financial education, etc.
Mr. Mete thanked Mr. Zigman for the willingness and cooperative spirit displayed by the Croatian Financial Services Supervision Agency. For his part, the President of HANFA stressed the possibilities of assistance to the Authority also through European Union projects.
At the meeting it was agreed to finalize a Memorandum between AFSA and HANFA, which sets out a clear framework for future cooperation.
