30 Albanian Doctors and Nurses leave for Italy.


30 Albanian doctors and nurses left for Italy to contribute to the treatment of patients in the fight against COVID-19.

The Albanian medical team will be stationed in a hospital in northern Italy for the treatment of patients with COVID-19.

The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu during her speech assured the young doctors that there would be care for their families during the time they would be absent.

The doctors and nurses who will serve in a hospital in Italy are part of the 3,000 volunteers who responded to the call to join the fight against COVID-19.

The team of Albanian medical personnel was escorted this afternoon at the "Mother Teresa" airport by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, Minister Belinda Balluku and Acting Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj
